This is what my heart sang as I stepped out into the sun this morning, opening my arms
as if to accept the full glory of it's rays.
This is what my lungs breathed in as I
rolled down the windows, allowing the warm air to tousle my hair into
an inevitable matted mess.
This is what my lips squealed as I
repeatedly blasted U2's Beautiful Day, desperate not to let this day
slip away.
This is what filled my mind as I took
pictures of my own real life blue true dream of sky. If only my
iPhone could have captured the sunset. Close your eyes and imagine
hot pink and orange clouds stretched out across a deepening blue
expanse.
Spring is coming. And with it, the
promise of new life, new adventure, and renewed hope. Are you ready
to dive into all that is infinite, all that is yes?
I needed today. After a bitter winter,
and more snow days than I can remember, I needed a reminder of all
that was to come. I needed a moment to bask in the sunshine and feel
the warm breeze kiss my face before this Wednesday's impending snow
squall.
Tomorrow is rumored to be another
beautiful day. Hopefully, wherever you are, it will be just as
glorious for you. How will you be enjoying it?
Our weather is at the can't make up it's mind stage. Today it will get up to 74 degrees but tomorrow night back down to 35 degrees.
ReplyDeleteYour going to have a great time in NYC no matter the weather and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.
My passport expired last year. If you don't update your passport within a certain period after expiration you have to start the process from scratch. I can do the paper work online and send in the pics and old passport and I'll have the new one if I need to use it.
We have a italian restaurant here called Johnny Carino's. They are a chain much like Macaroni Grill. I looked but I don't think you have one in the Saint Louis area. There are two items on the menu I really enjoy, Bowtie Festival and Italian Nachos. They have been on the menu for years so I guess I'm not the only one that likes them. I made the Bowtie festival and it turned out great. I'm going to tackle the Italian Nachos before the week is out. You can find these recipes at carinosathome.blogspot.com
As to the home improvement projects they really amount to doing touch up painting in the house and cleaning out and cleaning up the garage. When I can't make up my mind if I want to keep something I put off the decision by putting it in the garage. The garage is beginning to look like a storage unit. I'm working some each day to get rid of stuff!. The painting I can do myself but last year I had the outside trim painted and I hired that out. The parent of one my students is a home builder and I ask who he used as a painter and he was nice enough to put me intouch with a painter. Which wasa great help.
I have spotify on my kindle and so far it is great. I'm really enjoying it and I'm keeping a list of songs so let me know if you sign up.
I don't know how to put a private email on a blog either so I can't help you. Wish I were more tech savvy. Just let me know when you figure it out and I'll send the pics along.
Hope this is not too noisy but do you think we will ever get to see Side by Side over on this side of the pond? I would really like to see it. Just curious.
How did your recipes turn out? There is no Johnny Carino's here, but I'll keep a lookout as we travel. We love the Macaroni Grill! St. Louis is actually home to some really incredible italian food places, so we actually need to spend some time this year on The Hill getting our italian fix.
ReplyDeleteIs your garage all cleaned out? Painting done? Were you listening to great music while you did it? Anything that I should take a listen to?
As for Side by Side, I have no answers for you. I know there is so much that goes on after a movie has been made, like distribution, etc, and I don't know where he is in that process. Whether or not I ever get to see it, I would like to continue to cheer on his career. The film and music industries can be so discouraging. I've had friends who have experienced many disappointments along these roads. I expect he'll be receiving a lot of rejection, so I just want to be in his corner, offering encouragement, telling him he's awesome, etc. so that he can go out and confidently do what he needs to do. While I've only seen his short film "Idle Hands," I think he has a lot of potential and I'm hopeful he'll succeed.
Keep following his twitter, I'm sure he'll give updates as they become available!
