I combed through emails, deleting, responding, and
archiving until the whole thing was down to a more manageable size.
I danced in the living room. I prepped for upcoming events,
adventures I'd be taking this week and in the coming month. I
finished a book. I planned lessons. I made meals. I wrote thank
you notes. And I tried to catch up on a TV show.
It was a (mostly) quiet day. A
day to reinvigorate myself for the coming week. Sometimes, I'm so desperate to live in a world of adventure, that I forget
the importance, the necessity, of quiet days.
Have you prepared yourself for the
start of a new week? Mondays don't have to be terrible if you're
prepared. I hope it's a great one!
Welcome home sweet girl !.Thanks again for sharing this trip thru words and pictures. I believe I saw Holly Golightly standing in front of Tiffany's window. xoxo.
ReplyDeleteDid you care for any of the songs on the playlist?. If so let me know and I'll will look for more songs from that artist.
So far I have tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, sprouting and next weekend I will plant some summer squash seeds.
We are on the downhill for this school year. About a month till Easter then six weeks or so till schools out :)
Again glad your home safe and sound from the big city and take care on your forthcoming adventures. xo
love Bruno Mars; love James Blunt; not a huge fan of Avicii, only because he seems to pop up on every one of my Pandora playlists, from Rihanna Radio to the Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout station to Electronic Cardio. It's so odd. He's probably great, but I just can't get past the fact that I can't seem to get away from him.
DeleteBut I loved Perrin Lamb. I had never heard of him before and now I have a Pandora station dedicated to him. I really love singer/songwriter music.
I'm so impressed with your little garden! I need to get to work on my own, at least deciding what I want to plant and where I'll plant it. It snowed again yesterday, but I already feel it warming up today. I'm hoping that was the last of the cold weather. I'm ready for sunshine all the time.
Do you teach at all during the summer? The music school I teach at goes all year round, though the summer session is only 9 weeks. I'm okay with it. I tend to get bored by the third week of no classes. =)
I have a lot of planning on my plate for this week. I'm getting excited about future adventures. Hope you have some fun things planned, too! xoxo!
No work for me this summer. About this time each year I start working on a list of things to do during the summer. Some are chores and some are fun. If I find myself getting bored I try to think of the Italian saying "Il dolce far niente", the sweetness of doing nothing. Italians have this down to a science but somehow Americans have forgotten how to bring their lives to a standstill and just savor and appreciate the moment.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to commit that Italian phrase to memory. Ahhh, Italy...someday...
DeleteI've been thinking how amazing it would be to live in another country for 6 months, maybe a year. Experience the culture, the people. Anywhere, and not just once, but every year. It's not something that we'll get to do anytime soon, but maybe someday.
Making a list of things to do this summer? Oh, the things that would be on my list! Can't wait to hear yours!
