Sunday's performance was superb! While I have no recording to share, I heard great comments and encouraging remarks. My body shook the whole time, but I loved sharing my heart.
I came home and treated myself to some dark, dark chocolate, as I relaxed in the anti-gravity chair on our patio. As I gazed around the patio, I knew I needed to get to work. So that's been my adventure the past few days!
It's not been easy. Gardening is dirty, sweaty work. But I must say, our little oasis was worth all the hard work. As I sit here, resting back in the longe chair, a light breeze is picking up the scent of the woodland phlox and dancing it around me. I've been breathing a bit more deeply tonight.
There are still a few things I need to do. We need some string lights and I'd like to hang some of those hanging pots. All in good time.
Here's what I've planted:
Gerbera daisies
Dahlias
Impatiens
Pansies
Woodland phlox
Strawberry bush plants
Lettuce
Spinach
Green and red peppers
Cucumbers
Zucchini
Squash
Peas
Beans
...and something else...haha! I can't remember! Oh, well. I look forward to being delightfully surprised.
Also, everyone is welcome to come hang out on our patio!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
ps. Farmer's tans are in this season, right? If not, I'm in trouble.

Your garden looks wonderful. You put in alot of time and effort and it shows. I know the flowers smell so good and when the veggies start to produce you will have the best of both worlds. The space just looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteMore later...work time :)
I think you would like the Ins. Rutledge series. If you ever want to read one of the books you should start at the beginning with A Test of Wills . The story takes place in Warwickshire and will give you the full back story and introduce you to the handful of regular characters.
ReplyDeleteCornwall and Devonshire are in the fartherest southwest corner of England , the land of pirates and pilgrims. I will put it on my travel dream list. How long is your travel dream list and what site has risen to the top?
How did your meeting with the contractor go? Did they give you an kind of time line for the repairs?
Sharon do you have that gizmo (tech term) from blogger that tells you where people who visit your blog are located? I know when you go to some blogs in the margin you see a little box and your hometown and the location of everyother person viewing the blog at that moment pops up.
Wisdom, me !?! I don't know what I've said but I appreciate your kind words. Let me tell you that it's been my pleasure to come to know you through this blog. I look forward to hearing about your interests and plans and I'm happy when a common interest comes up that we can chat about ;-))
It's now on my summer reading list!
DeletePirates and pilgrims! Sounds like a great travel destination. I have so many on my list, but Andy and I are saving our pennies to go to Bora Bora. It looks amazing and we actually just spoke to a friend recently who had gone. This friend has been everywhere, and he said that would be his top place to visit as well. His second was Machu Picchu, which is also on my list, though I'm not sure that it will be my second favorite. And he also said that Antwerp is like walking into a fairytale, so I think I'd like to go there. Also, I'd like to go on safari someday, and Andy and I both want to head to Australia and New Zealand. It's hard to pick just one, but if I had to, it would be Bora Bora.
The meeting was ok. He was here for a long time, and it seems that it's still going to take a while with going back and forth between the insurance company. I'm not hopeful that I'll have my home back at the end of May, but I've grown accustomed to what we have now, so I'm a bit more cheerful about it. =)
My blog dashboard has a map of the world in the corner and it shows me the country of my readers, though I'm not sure that they can be considered readers because they might just click on something and not actually read. I'm not sure that it differentiates, you know? If there is another "gizmo" that I should get, let me know. I'm really not great at this whole blog thing. I promise I'm trying! When you told me to add an email, I searched and searched for how to do that, but I couldn't find anything, so I added an About Me page instead (have you seen my About Me page?) I wish I was more tech savvy. I've done some research, but I'm not even sure what is best and what to research. If you have ever done a blog, or have any expertise, I would appreciate it.
Well, you gave me some things to think about with my whole house dilemma and I wouldn't have known it without your insight.
Have a great weekend! Big plans?
