Only a little messy, and they were delicious!

Off to City Museum to celebrate Matt's birthday

City Museum = an adult jungle gym. If you go, wear knee pads!

Andy and JJ trying the rope swing

The climb!

All animals love Andy!

Matt, it's your birthday, you can wear sandals if you want to.
(Though we don't recommend it!)

Teeny, tiny spaces

The ball bit - enter at your own risk!

Down the super speedy slide

Braving the Monster Slide

Also braving the 10-Story Slide

Honestly I think this man could be a model! What's he doing with me?!

Super great time!

Afterwards, we met more friends for dinner at 5 Star Burger (best in STL) and they polished off the rest of the gluten free donuts, exclaiming, They're so good! It was a packed but fabulous day!

Hope yours was as well!

  1. Anyday that includes burgers and donuts is a good day, a very good day;)

Was my first time to build, made some mistakes but also learned a great deal about the process of building a home. One day you and Andy will have this experience and maybe I can help you thru some of the first time builder pitfalls.

At my old house I had a very, very big backyard, with a garden plot of about 15x35 feet. I had plenty of room to grow cucumbers. When they all ripened at once I could make pickles. Now my little trellis is wedged between a knockout rose and a Indian hawthorne bush. So I just grow them in succession.

I first heard of Aloe Blacc at ykw's place. The land of music finds haha. I'm sure he's on pandora.

Must get ready for work. I'll send you a book list later today.

I hope when you read this your home is once again a place of quietude. And again the restoration people may pick the craftspeople but you tell them what you want in the way of paint brand and color, same with carpet and tile.Because the two of you will be living with the work when the craftspeople are gone. This is your home, your respite, it should be all you!!

Back later with book list :-)

    1. What a list! Here is the list of books that I have submitted into our library queue:

      Never Let Go Ishiguro
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly Bauby
One Hundred Years of Solitude Marquez
The Fault in our Stars Green
      The Train Simenon

So, while I wait for those, I'm currently reading a really inappropriate romance novel...maybe a bit more than romance. I downloaded it thinking it was a romance novel and just wanting something to read. It's pretty risque, Julia! I hope you won't think less of me...

I'd love to hear what you think when you're done with one or more of these books!

    1. I'm so sorry, friend! I haven't been around my computer and that's the only way that I'm able to answer my blog responses. I can't figure out how to use the iPad and my phone just won't allow it. Thank you for being patient with me, and thank you for caring!

Have you had a great week?
